We took another outfit picture, this time in front of this amazing horse statue! It’s next to our school and it’s quite impressive really, so dynamic! We both looked simple in white, yet we always find a way to make our outfits special. For example: the pink shoes, pink sunglasses and yes: pink hair! Elvi is rocking the great girly-dress-with-sneakers combination and Jade is wearing pants. Doesn’t sound too special, but it is, since she hardly ever does. She’s been wearing pants for three days in a row now, what it happening to the universe?!
We wish you a lovely Thursday! (Yes, we have a day off today because of the Ascension of Jesus, yay!)

At last the exams are over!! We’ve got a week off now and are going to make the best out of it! Elvi is going to Tenerife and Jade is going to Athens so exited to just get away from everything and enjoy some time off. ^^ Anyway, since the exams are over, once we’re back from our trips, we’ll be posting much more often again!
But that’s not all the good news, Elvi went a little wild and did what she had dreamed of ever since she was a little kid: she dyed her hair pink! And not just slightly pink, very pink! It’s going to wash out pretty quickly though so the color will fade but it’ll still be pink! ^^ She went to Kinki Kappers, they’re famous in Holland for their extreme haircuts! It took more than 5 hours to dye Elvi’s hair, because she’s got so much and such long hair! (Unfortunately this also meant it became more and more expensive as they needed 6 bottles of paint instead of the usual 1-2..) You can see a funny picture below of Elvi at the hairdresser’s with blonde hair! Jade also dyed her hair a little lighter again, all ready for the sun to come out!
Anyway, below are some pictures of our hair and outfits! In a week from now we’ll upload some great holiday photo’s and from that moment on we’re back baby!

Do you remember that post about this gorgeous skirt Jade ordered from Romwe.com? Check it out here. She was so happy with it and couldn’t wait for it to arrive so she could wear it for Christmas. Unfortunately, even though she had ordered it in time, it didn’t arrive when it was supposed to. She sent them an e-mail and they told her her skirt had gotten lost in the post. Yeah… That really sucked! They have refunded her though, which is nice of them. But still, She’s so disappointed! We feel like it’s always a bit of a gamble, ordering from Romwe. So Jade decided not to order the skirt again, and to go with the season. Christmas is over anyway, and spring will be upon us in a couple of weeks (or probably months, it is Belgium after all) and so she ordered a dress from Rireboutique.com instead! Check it out below! Rire got the dress here pretty quickly and there was a handwritten card with it and all. Very nice service!
Anyway, so far for cheering ourselves up.. Cheering up is kind of necessary since we are in the middle of the exams. It’s so much work and we’re really tired and stressed out! Ah well… Wish us luck!
xx Tiny Jadie and Tall Elvi
ps: and look at all that snow!!
pps: also, fictitious fashion is doing another giveaway from rire, so fingers crossed!
Ho ho ho!
Since the holiday season is upon us we decided to dress all fancy for this post! We divided the post into two sides: the good girl side and the bad girl side. Not that difficult to figure out which is which eh? We used this photo to enter a competition @Chictopia, please oh please vote for us HERE! We also wanted to make a Christmas song! Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to make our own version so we had to download a karaoke version and sing to it. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the only version we could find was this awful one, which forced us to either sing too high or too low. We thought it sounded so bad, we kept laughing while recording it. After a while we made the camera blurry, so we wouldn’t really see ourselves being stupid anymore, which actually helped. So… Well.. Basically it sucks! But still we posted it, because it’s funny and we just had to post a Christmas song. Maybe after the exams, in february, we’ll post a better version. Or maybe next year? =) Scroll all the way down to check it out! It’s really cozy here in Leuven by the way! Every street is decorated with little lights.. Jade and her boyfriend went out to get some beignets (which in English is a fritter, no?) and they were delicious! There is also a beautiful carrousel near the Town Hall which you can see below!
Happy holidays everyone!!
Kisses, Tall & tiny
ps: if you want to make our 8th day of Christmas wish come true, donate here! (and feel free to send us those Converse shoes as well)
We want to wish you all a horrible halloween!
To do so, we uploaded a new song today! It’s about the main character from the literary series: Where’s Waldo/ Where’s Wally (whatever you call him). One of our favorite pictures from these books is the one where he walks around in a vampire world. He always looks so happy, even though this is quite a terrible place. People are being tied up and tickled, yikes!! We felt like, maybe underneath the happy man with the striped shirt and the smile on his face, there is boy, feeling very very scared. So in our song, he is trying to get to the next page as fast as possible. But will he ever get out?
Now, before any discussions start, there is no point in going all: “the correct name is Wally!” because it depends on which country you’re from. We actually know him as Wally too, but thought Waldo sounded better for our song. : )
So enjoy our song,
and have a gruelsome halloween!
Horrible hugs and Slimey kisses,
Tall and tiny
ps: go wild on this gorillaz pumpkin carving game HERE!
Hooray hooray! This is our 100th post!
On this joyful occasion we’d like to look back a little on the past year, and the past 99 posts. Last year we started our second year of sinology here at the Leuven University and we were feeling a little bored.. Studying has it’s own perks and all that, but our schedules were so fully stacked with homework and classes, that we had dropped all of our creative projects and hobbies. So about 12 months ago we decided to change that, and we formed our band: tall and tiny! We started off by going to a school classroom where we knew there was a piano. Elvi started playing a tune, and Jade improvised some lyrics on it. Afterwards, Jade finished off the lyrics at home and about a week later, Inside the Whale was born! Then came Somewhere silent and so on… In the meantime we also started taking pictures of our outfits and decided we should share them, and made this blog. Then we sort of ‘upgraded’ by changing from rehearsing in a classroom to rehearsing in a small -free of charge- studio, where we can enter with Elvi’s school-culture pass. We started copyrighting, uploading songs and videos.. And tah-daa! Now it’s about a year later and we have a nice 100 posts already! Now that the new school year has started again, we are working on new songs again and we can’t wait to start posting them and go towards the big 200! Also, from now on we will sort of duplicate our posts in Chinese below the English posts sometimes, to practice our Chinese skills! Last but not least, we want to thank everyone who reads our blog, because that’s what makes it all fun really. = ) We hope you like our pictures and music, and hope you will continue to read and listen to our stuff here!
Below are some of our favorite pictures so far, and our songs. We love you!!
To many more posts, pictures and songs! 干杯!

Today I went to this amazing second hand store called T2 -which stands for ‘think twice’- in my hometown: Antwerp. They do these great sales days every month where they count down, every day the sales get better, and the last day they sell everything for just 1 euro a piece (sweater, dress, necklace, shoes.. whatever!). I went there with my boyfriend Derian and the two dogs today, and I bought an adorable 60’s dress, a really pretty sweater, a checkered skirt (ready for the autumn!) and a big dress of which I’m going to make my puppy Wookiee a sweater! I also discovered this amazing store where they sell mad-men-like dresses which are sooo stunning but alas I can’t afford those.. Before we went home again, we ate delicious Belgian waffles! If you ever visit Belgium, you have to try one! They’re so yummy! Then we rested at home (the doggies were tired ^^). Then later on the day, we went to the ikea (which I suppose you are all familiar with..) and then to the saturn (they sell all kinds of multimedia, including video games) and the maisons du monde (which is a multicultural furniture store where my sister, me and Derian worked for a while). Then Derian and I cooked a delicious meal and had a nice evening. =) Isn’t that just what a good day should be like? ^^ Tomorrow we’re going to the Ardennes! I love being in nature and I’m very exited because it’s Wookiee’s first time in a forest!
Below you can see me holding a dress in the T2, which is the 60’s one I ended up buying and I will post an outfit picture soon. In the Ikea picture, I’m wearing the new skirt and sweater. Do you like them?
