Hello guys and girls!
Oh dear, we have actually started a new blog and didn’t mention it here because we didn’t know so many people still ‘follow’ this blog. We just saw the numbers and fell off our chairs. Woops! Please follow our new blog, it’s so much more lively (which isn’t difficult, as this one is as dead as they get). If you don’t use Bloglovin yet, you should really give it a go! And thank you for following us, we love you!

We’ve been gone for a long time yes, living in different cities, doing different things, you know, it’s not easy keeping this blog running that way. But don’t worry, we’re still best friends and are still working together! This week we made a music video for Sold His Soul! We went to ‘Doel’ which is a very interesting village. Because they wanted to expand the port of Antwerp in the sixties, the villagers were forced to leave. However, the village is still there, or well… half there. Windows smashed in, furniture lying around, graffiti everywhere, and here and there some residents who refuse to leave until they absolutely have to. It’s like a little ghost town, and it’s so strange to imagine there are people who’s family has lived there for generations… Anyway, nowadays artists go there all the time, because it’s so inspiring. And we thought this abandoned gas station was the perfect location for our video! Do you like it?
Enjoy! And if you like the video, make sure to like it on youtube, it means a lot!
Lots of love from your seemingly gone but not really gone number one favourite band xx
For those who regularly read our blog, this is all very repetitive, but still, for those who don’t: a while ago we entered a competition called ‘Students On Stage’ which is organized by our university. We got into the semi-finals (yay for us!) and those were held yesterday! We had a blast! It was a super tiny stage (even though it was at held at a very popular location) but all three of us got on. “Three? My oh my, I though it was only two!” Nope! It is only two, but for one of our songs we hired a very dear friend of Jade to come help us out. He normally plays an entirely different kind of music, but he had a lot of fun doing this for a change. Check out his own band’s facebook HERE. Thank you Matthieu! We also have a new favorite prop called ‘Rocky Rawr’ which we taped onto the synthesizer (you can see him on the left). And of course we brought the usual amount of flowers, clocks, bird cages etc. It was very funny, since all the other bands that played were rock or metal bands, our poppy sound came as quite the surprise for the audience. Haha, maybe we should’ve taken pictures of their faces instead of our own, that would have made a good series of photos!
We didn’t get into the finals (check out who did HERE), but still, we had a good time! At the end of our performance, one of the people who worked there asked us if we wanted to play in their monthly open mic, because she liked our music. Guess when that open mic was? Also yesterday! So basically, we were there all day. Which means we’re very very tired now, so it’s time to get some sleep. =)
Scroll down to see some pictures! You can see the three of us on our tiny stage, and the last picture was taken during the open mic. Enjoy!
Sorry for not posting any sooner but we’ve been pretty busy.. Last weekend we entered a competition called ‘Art for Education’ (HERE is their facebook page). The concept basically comes down to this: there is an organization called ‘Art for Nepal’ and they organize fundraisers now and then to try and help children in Nepal to get the education they deserve. This time, they turned it into a little competition where the bands have to perform in a preliminary round before going to the finals. Jade heard about the organization from a friend and we decided to enter the competition. That way we could earn some on-stage experience as well as support a good cause! We wrote a song especially for the cause, which will be uploaded very very soon, so stay tuned! We hope it inspires people to help others out.We were selected for the finals, yippie! So on the 20th of April we will be playing there again. If you’re in the neighbourhood (by which we mean you’re either in Belgium or really close to it anyway) come join us there! It’s super cozy and they serve the best mint tea! Check out some pictures of us playing below, and stay in touch because we’ll upload the new song soon!
Lots of love,
Tall and tiny
ps: if you have a facebook account please vote for us HERE. Yes, we’re obsessed with entering competitions now, apparently.
Ho ho ho!
Since the holiday season is upon us we decided to dress all fancy for this post! We divided the post into two sides: the good girl side and the bad girl side. Not that difficult to figure out which is which eh? We used this photo to enter a competition @Chictopia, please oh please vote for us HERE! We also wanted to make a Christmas song! Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to make our own version so we had to download a karaoke version and sing to it. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the only version we could find was this awful one, which forced us to either sing too high or too low. We thought it sounded so bad, we kept laughing while recording it. After a while we made the camera blurry, so we wouldn’t really see ourselves being stupid anymore, which actually helped. So… Well.. Basically it sucks! But still we posted it, because it’s funny and we just had to post a Christmas song. Maybe after the exams, in february, we’ll post a better version. Or maybe next year? =) Scroll all the way down to check it out! It’s really cozy here in Leuven by the way! Every street is decorated with little lights.. Jade and her boyfriend went out to get some beignets (which in English is a fritter, no?) and they were delicious! There is also a beautiful carrousel near the Town Hall which you can see below!
Happy holidays everyone!!
Kisses, Tall & tiny
ps: if you want to make our 8th day of Christmas wish come true, donate here! (and feel free to send us those Converse shoes as well)
We went to the library again and -just like perfect students should- worked really hard! After that, we decided to take a look around because (as we’ve said before) that building is really pretty! There is art, there are huge old staircases, big statues… So we decided to do a little photo shoot there! The Buddha statue reminded Jade of the song ‘I love buddha’ which is so lovely… Listen to it below, while watching the pictures. =)
Tomorrow is another theme day!! xxxx T&t
Ps: don’t forget to check out our new song! Listen to it below!
The last couple of weeks we’ve been working on a new song. It’s about a young man who feels lost in life, and who decides to go sell his soul in exchange for a -hopefully- better life. Of course, magic doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to. We imagine this story to take place in a poor, small, rainy and dirty city around the year 1800. We hope you like the song!
You can also check out what our song looks like on the computer, quite complicated eh? And of course, we couldn’t help ourselves and gave the voices colors. The bright pink and red parts belong to Elvi (piano) and Jade’s lines are the softer pink ones (main vocals). All the rest is.. well.. All the rest!
And say, who would that yellow track belong to? Well, no one else but our first guest star: Andreas Somville! He’s quite the creative whirlwind and on top of that, he has an amazing voice. He has his own youtube channel on which he posts his own narrated versions of popular songs. It’s really funny.. Also -for those who are interested in it- he reviews games. Click HERE to go to his channel!
Anyway, without further ado,
here is our new song!
